Privacy Access Requests
The VSA processes requests for access to records in a timely manner and usually at no charge. Requesting parties have included other licensing bodies, government, motor dealers and consumer complainants.
The decisions made by the VSA are reviewable by the provincial Ombudsperson. The Ombudsperson reviews decisions to ensure a fair process was followed, including clarity and transparency in arriving at those decisions. No complaint to the Ombudsperson was found to be substantiated in the 2016, 2017 or 2018 fiscal years.
