Why does my dog refuse to eat?

My dog eats much less or ignores food altogether. He used to always eat everything with gusto, but now he may not even touch the bowl. What could be the reason for this, a change in food, stress, or perhaps health problems? 

Dogs can be picky sometimes, but if he suddenly stopped eating, it could be stress, a food change, or even a health issue. Maybe try an automatic dog feeder to keep a consistent feeding schedule, sometimes, routine helps. But if he keeps refusing food, a vet check might be a good idea.
